The right of belligerency of the state will not be recognized."

Yumi Kikuchi is coming on a Peace visit to Vancouver. From her home - the Centre for Harmonic Living- where she and her husband grow most of what they eat (rice and vegetables) organically, Yumi travels throughout Japan to deliver over 100 lectures on Peace and sustainability per year. She left her job as a successful bond trader to promote the spirit of Japan's "Peace Constitution" and search for more peaceful and sustainable living. In her journey, she realized that peace can not be attained without sustainability and visa versa.

A Co-founder of the Global Peace Campaign, right after 9/11 Yumi started the Global Peace Campaign, placing full page advertisements in NY Times and LA Times with the message to Americans "War is not the way to tackle terrorism". She continues the campaign today with the website, newsletter and Japanese and English blogs. Yumi was a speaker at the Tokyo International Tribunal for War Crimes in Afghanistan.

Yumi is also a director the founder and chair of JUMP (Japan United for Ministries of Peace) and organizer of the 2007 International Department of Peace Conference in Tokyo, the 3rd Global Summit for Ministries and Departments of Peace held in 2007 Sep-Oct in Japan (conference in Chiba and Events in Tokyo, Kyoto, Hiroshima, Nagasaki and Okinawa), inviting advocates of Ministries and Departments of peace in their respective 21 countries on 5 continents.

Yumi is a leading figure in the 9/11 Truth movement and organized Japan's first 9/11 conference, 911 Truth International Conference in Tokyo, drawing over 650 people to hear experts and witnesses discuss the events and unanswered questions of that day.

Yumi has written and translated over 10 books including Addicted To War; Butterfly; What I've Learned About US Foreign Policy; Dennis Kucinich (published in Japan only); The Legacy of Luna and The New Pearl Harbor. She also produced the Japanese subtitled version of the DVDs, 911: In Plane Site and Loose Change, and was instrumental in recently getting a Japanese legislator to question cabinet ministers about 9/11 in Japan's national legislature.

Yumi is the mother of 4, specialized in water and natural birth, natural healing and natural child rearing.

For Mr. Roger Helbig.

Thank you for your comment, however as there are a lot of misunderstandings between us and as you dishonor my friends I have decided not to publish it.

There was a mistake made in the description that I have now fixed. The organizer of the event in Canada mixed up my profile with the profile of Leuren Moret. I was not an organizer but I did speak at The Tokyo International War Crimes Tribunal. I spoke on US foreign policy, not DU. Leuren spoke on DU and in my opinion I think she gave a great presentation.

I am paying my way to Vancouver, so it is not free trip. I am speaking thanks to my wonderful friends and organizers and I may receive some fee for my talk but that is not the reason I am going there to speak. I want to share what I, one person with young babies did from my home when war was about to break out.

Yes, I am just a mother as you say. I do not have higher education like you do. I just love life and I care. I want every child, every one on earth including you, to be able to fulfill their dreams. I love life. My ability to love is my greatest power. I am a mother who cares for the lives of children, not only mine but others too.

I do not support war or violence in any form and I believe we can solve problems and conflicts without violence. Leuren is my friend and she is another mother like me who cares. She may be able to learn from your knowledge, so please assist her if you can, instead of being angry. Use your knowledge to help others and to heal the wounds of this planet.

I am sorry!

Thank you!

Yumi
