I met Elizabeth the first time in September 2005 when I attended the 3rd National Conference for a Department of Peace. Dennis and Elizabeth were newly married and looked very happy. We spent three hours talking together. Yes, she is a beautiful woman inside and out.

This time in February, I was in Washington DC again to attend the 4th National Conference for a Department of Peace and I met Elizabeth again. Dennis and Elizabeth have become a really powerful and compassionate couple, which is something good for America, England and the world. Their relationship is now very close as they enjoy working together on projects and issues that they both have deep common interest in. I am very happy that Dennis has such a wonderful partner in his life.

I really hope that Americans will finally find the real leader of their country and our planet, that person, of course, I feel should be Dennis Kucinich and his wife Elizabeth.

We need a leader who is compassionate, not someone who kills and destroys.

We hold these truths to be self-evident: That all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights; that, among these, are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness; that, to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the government; and, whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it.

These words from the Declaration of Independence are instructive at this moment. Because not only whenever any form of government, but whenever any government official becomes destructive of the founding purposes, that official or those officials must be held accountable.

Because I believe the vice president's conduct of office has been destructive to the founding purposes of our nation. Today, I have introduced House Resolution 333, Articles of Impeachment Relating to Vice President Richard B. Cheney. I do so in defense of the rights of the American people to have a government that is honest and peaceful.

It became obvious to me that this vice president, who was a driving force for taking the United States into a war against Iraq under false pretenses, is once again rattling the sabers of war against Iran with the same intent to drive America into another war, again based on false pretenses.

Let me cite from the articles of impeachment that were introduced this afternoon, Article I, that Richard Cheney had purposely manipulated the intelligence process to deceive the citizens and the Congress of the United States by fabricating a threat of Iraqi weapons of mass destruction to justify the use of the United States armed forces against the nation of Iraq in a manner damaging to our national security.

That despite all evidence to the contrary, the vice president actively and systematically sought to deceive the citizens and the Congress of the United States about an alleged threat of Iraqi weapons of mass destruction.

That preceding the March 2003 invasion of Iraq, the vice president was fully informed that no legitimate evidence existed of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. The vice president pressured the intelligence community to change their findings to enable the deception of the citizens and the Congress of the United States.

That in this the vice president subverted the national security interests of the United States by setting the stage for the loss of more than 3,300 United States service members and the loss of 650,000 Iraqi citizens since the United States invasion; the loss of approximately $500 billion in war costs, which has increased our federal debt; the loss of military readiness within the United States armed services, through an overextension and lack of training and lack of equipment; and the loss of United States credibility in the world affairs and decades of likely blowback created by the invasion of Iraq.

That with respect to Article II, that Richard Cheney manipulated the intelligence process to deceive the citizens and the Congress of the United States about an alleged relationship between Iraq and Al Qaida in order to justify the use of United States armed forces against the nation of Iraq in a manner damaging to our national security.

And that, despite all evidence to the contrary, the vice president actively and systematically sought to deceive the citizens and Congress of the United States about an alleged relationship between Iraq and Al Qaida.

That preceding to the March 2003 invasion of Iraq, the vice president was fully informed that no credible evidence existed of a working relationship between Iraq and Al Qaida, a fact articulated in several official documents.

With respect to Article III, that in his conduct while vice president of the United States, Richard Cheney openly threatened aggression against the Republic of Iran, absent any real threat to the United States, and has done so with the United States's proven capability to carry out such threats, thus undermining the national security interests of the United States.

That despite no evidence that Iran has the intention or the capability of attacking the United States, and despite the turmoil created by the United States's invasion of Iraq, the vice president has openly threatened aggression against Iran.

Furthermore, I point out in the articles that Article VI of the United States Constitution states, and I quote, "This Constitution and the laws of the United States shall be made in pursuance thereof and all treaties made or which shall be made under the authority of the United States shall be the supreme law of the land. Any provision of an international treaty ratified by the United States becomes the law of the United States."

The United States is signatory to the U.N. Charter, a treaty among the nations of the world. Article II, Section 4 of the United Nations Charter states, and I quote, "All members shall refrain in their international relations from the threat or use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of any state, or in any manner inconsistent with the purposes of the United Nations."

The articles conclude by pointing out that the vice president's deception upon the citizens and the Congress of the United States that enabled the failed United States invasion of Iraq forcibly altered the rules of diplomacy so that the vice president recent belligerent actions toward Iran are destabilizing and counterproductive to the national security of the United States of America.

These articles of impeachment are not brought forth lightly. I've carefully weighed the options available to members of Congress and found this path the path that is the most important to take.

The justifications used to lead our nation to war have unquestionably been disproved. Brave soldiers and innocent civilians have lost their lives in a war the United States should never have initiated. The weight of the lies used to lead us into war has grown heavier with each death. Now is the time for Congress to examine the actions that led us into this war, just as we must work to bring the troops home. This resolution is a very serious matter, and I will urge the Committee on Judiciary to investigate and carefully consider this resolution.

At this time, I'm happy to take any of your questions.

QUESTION: Congressman, at this point do you have any other -- any fellow members support this?

KUCINICH: At this very moment, the resolution is being transmitted to members of Congress. Because this resolution is so weighty in its import, it's going to be important for members of Congress to have sufficient time to study the articles. This is unlike any other type of legislation or resolution. This is not something that you can ask anyone to make a snap judgment on. It took me a while to come to this point. And I would expect that members of Congress, given the opportunity to review these articles, will be able to come to a conclusion consistent with their own concerns and the concerns of their constituents.

QUESTION: But at this point, you stand alone, at this point?

KUCINICH: At this point, I believe that I stand with millions of Americans who have expressed concern through their state legislatures, through petitions to Congress, through contact with their members of Congress, that something has to be done to reclaim our country's goodness, to reclaim a government which the American people want to be honest, want to be just.

And so I do not stand alone. I have multitudes of people backing this.

QUESTION: (OFF-MIKE) Chairman Conyers to look at this?

KUCINICH: I will discuss this with Chairman Conyers, now that this has been introduced, and I will ask for his consideration. And I will communicate this to all members of the House and ask them to give it the kind of thoughtful consideration that it deserves.

KUCINICH: I might point out that -- that when you read the annotations here, you will see that everything that has been said in these articles has been carefully documented. In fact, I would imagine that some of you have even reported some of the statements, although perhaps the statements have not been challenged in this way until now.

QUESTION: (OFF-MIKE)

KUCINICH: The question relates to why I'm bringing the articles of impeachment against Mr. Cheney, and not Mr. Bush. Is that it?

QUESTION: Why solely Mr. Cheney?

KUCINICH: Well, there's a practical reason here. And the practical reason is -- first of all, I want to say that each and every charge against Mr. Cheney relates to his conduct or misconduct in office.

Now, with respect to the president. I think that it's very important that we start with Mr. Cheney. Because if we were to start with the president and pursue articles of impeachment, Mr. Cheney would then become president.

It's significant and responsible to start in this way, because if the same charges would relate to the president as relate to the vice president, you would then have to go through the constitutional agony of impeaching two presidents consecutively.

QUESTION: (OFF-MIKE)

KUCINICH: Well, actually -- I'll wait until that truck goes by here.

Let me tell you the difference. The difference today is that this vice president is actively encouraging aggression against Iran. It is urgent that Congress take steps to check the abuse of power. And that's what this impeachment resolution will do.

KUCINICH: There is no comparison whatsoever -- in any way, shape or manner -- between these articles of impeachment and the articles of impeachment which were presented to the House of Representatives in 1999.

In fact, these articles of impeachment are deeply researched, will stand up in a discussion in the House and in the Senate. And I believe that they are -- that they're imperative to bring forth right now because the threat of war against Iran is very real.

And this vice president cannot be permitted to continue to violate both the U.S. Constitution and the U.N. Charter.

QUESTION: Congressman, you're running for president. Are you hoping to get the others (OFF-MIKE)?

KUCINICH: Each person has to -- each person will have to make his or her own decision.

This goes beyond partisan terms. This is being done to defend our constitutional system of government. This is being done so that all those of us who took an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States can understand that this impeachment is one valid way in furtherance of the defense of our Constitution.

I don't see this as being distant from anyone, in any capacity in our government. Everyone must reflect on this.

Years from now, people will ask, "Why didn't the United States government respond when they saw this threat to our democracy? Why didn't people inside the government respond?" if this doesn't move forward.

And so this really isn't so much, I might add, about the vice president as it is about who we are as a people. What is it that we stand for? What kind of government do the people of the United States expect and deserve?

KUCINICH: It's not appropriate for the government to lie to people. It is wrong for government officials -- you know, the vice president, in this case -- to take this nation into war based on lies.

And so, again, this becomes a question of who we are as a people. And so this resolution 333, articles of impeachment against the vice president, will let future generations know that no one is above the law of this country and that Congresses have the specific responsibility to provide a check to administrative abuse of power. That's the way the framers set this government up.

QUESTION: Congressman, Speaker Pelosi has said on more than one occasion she's not interested in impeachment.

Have you had conversations with her on this, or some exchange, in your mind...

KUCINICH: No, I have not discussed this with Speaker Pelosi.

I want to stress that this is not a partisan action at all. I have not confided in anyone in the leadership of my party, because I take this action beyond partisanship, beyond party, as an obligation and commitment to my nation and my loyalty to America and my willingness to say, "Stop the lies. Stop the lying. Stop the dying that's occurring in Iraq over lies."

It's imperative that America stand for the truth. It said in the Bible, "You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free." Well, let then these articles of impeachment help set our nation free from the lies that have enveloped our governmental process, the lies that are trapping us still in a war in Iraq, the lies that could take us into a war against Iran.

This is about the truth.

QUESTION: Congressman, it's been said by some pundits that you're just introducing these articles to gain publicity for your presidential campaign.

What do you make of those allegations? And do you think this is going to help you out in your race for the presidency?

KUCINICH: These articles are about the conduct of the vice president of the United States, that he deceived the people of the United States to take this country into a war, that he continues to exhibit a pattern of conduct that could take this country into another war based on false pretenses. That's what this is about.

KUCINICH: And I believe that the people of this country are demanding that someone stand up and anyone has been free to do this. Anyone in the House of Representatives could take similar action if they so choose, or could take action against the vice president or the president.

QUESTION: Pelosi says it's not going anywhere.

(CROSSTALK)

KUCINICH: Have you talked to her today?

QUESTION: Yes, I did.

KUCINICH: Then I would say I have not talked to her. And as much as I admire the speaker, as much as I voted to support her, I feel that it's my obligation as a member of Congress to introduce these articles of impeachment. And I believe the American people will be the final arbiters as to whether or not these articles should go forward.

QUESTION: Just to follow up, when you say the vice president led us into war, wouldn't that be President Bush? Isn't Cheney working for Bush? (inaudible)

KUCINICH: Well, let's go into Article I. "Mr. Cheney: 'We know they have biological and chemical weapons.'" Said this in a press conference on March 17th, 2002. "We know they're pursuing nuclear weapons." He said this in a press briefing on March 19th, 2002. "He is pursuing, activity pursuing nuclear weapons at this time." He said this on "CNN Late Edition," March 24th. "We know he's got chemical and biological, and we know he's working on nuclear."

"Meet the Press," May 19th: "But we know Saddam has resumed his efforts to acquire nuclear weapons." "There is no doubt he's amassing them against our friends, against our allies and against us." August 26th, 2002.

On and on and on. "He has in fact activity and aggressively seeking to acquire nuclear weapons." September 8th, 2002, "Meet the Press."

"He has in fact reconstituted nuclear weapons." March 16th, "Meet the Press."

This vice president was a driving force in trying to create the circumstances to justify the United States's attack against Iran. And he not only deceived the people of the United States, and the Congress of the United States, he deceived the American media.

KUCINICH: And so these articles are tightly focused on the conduct of the vice president. And to the extent that they may reflect in some way on the conduct of the president of the United States, is another matter for another day.

QUESTION: (OFF-MIKE)

KUCINICH: I think the record is very clear, that this vice president used his conduct of office to promote a war and Article I and Article II are very clear that he conducted himself in such a way as to use the power of his office to promote that war.

And so this relates to the vice president. And I think I answered the question earlier about why the vice president and not the president.

Anyone else? I want to thank you very much for being here.

QUESTION: Do you have anyone you would identify as a replacement? If Vice President Cheney were impeached, it would have to be voted on the House and the Senate for confirmation.

KUCINICH: That would be up to President Bush.

Go Kucinich, Go! IMPEACH CHENEY

Great news after such tragedies in Virginia, USA and Nagasaki, Japan.

The Mayor of Nagasaki, Mr. Itoh, a strong peace and anti nuclear supporter, was shot to death during his election campaign, the following day after the Virginia Tec gun massacre. I pray that the victims and their families and friends will be able to transform the grief and pain they share into the energy our society so badly needs to create a more peaceful culture in the world.

Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinich Intends to File For Cheney Impeachment

Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio), the most liberal of the Democratic presidential candidates in the primary field, declared in a letter sent to his Democratic House colleagues this morning that he plans to file articles of impeachment against Vice President Dick Cheney.

Kucinich has made ending the war in Iraq the central theme of his campaign. He has even taken aim at the leading Democratic presidential candidates in the field for their votes on authorizing the war.

Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution gives Congress the authority to impeach the president, vice president and "all civil Officers of the United States" for "treason, bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors."

Sources tell the Sleuth that in light of the mass killings at Virginia Tech Monday, Kucinich's impeachment plans have been put on hold. There will be no action this week, they say.

Kucinich's office had no comment on the Congressman's "Dear Colleague" letter -- which apparently was drafted over the weekend, before the school massacre -- or on what the focus of articles of impeachment against Cheney would be.

But Kucinich shouldn't hold his breath on getting anywhere with his impeachment plan. "We'll see a Kucinich Administration before we'll see a Cheney impeachment," quipped one Democratic aide.

Here is the text of his letter, a copy of which was forwarded to the Sleuth:

(Unfortunately not a) Great Victory on Aspartame!

Unfortunately, the information I received about the banning of Aspartame was incorrect. Apparently, what happened was a woman in Spain read an old article (in Spanish) from 2004 about an elected representative from Iloilo(a state in the Philippines) who had INTRODUCED a bill to ban aspartame. She mistakenly believed the article was actually news of the passing of the bill and forwarded her ‘incorrect’ news around the world. I was one of those that received the news... Unfortunately the bill was defeated by corporate lobbyists...

I am leaving the content of the news I received intact, but am adjusting the comments I made to suit the situation as I now understand it to be.

I am unhappy to learn that the Philippines is not completely banning aspartame, as I had first been led to believe when I received the news below. The banning of aspartame would be a very significant victory for all people against the global ‘biggies’ Monsanto, Serle and Ajinomoto that are deliberately attempting to destroy our health.

Philippines FIRST TO BAN ASPARTAME: WATCH THE DOMINOS FALL!

We hope the Philippine government and physicians will record the cessation of diseases when aspartame is removed. Operation Bite: April 6 sneak attack by US forces against Iran planned, Russian military sources warn

WASHINGTON DC, -- The long awaited US military attack on Iran is now on track for the first week of April, specifically for 4 am on April 6, the Good Friday opening of Easter weekend, writes the well-known Russian journalist Andrei Uglanov in the Moscow weekly "Argumenty Nedeli." Uglanov cites Russian military experts close to the Russian General Staff for his account.

The attack is slated to last for 12 hours, according to Uglanov, from 4 am until 4 pm local time. Friday is the sabbath in Iran. In the course of the attack, code named Operation Bite, about 20 targets are marked for bombing; the list includes uranium enrichment facilities, research centers, and laboratories.

The first reactor at the Bushehr nuclear plant, where Russian engineers are working, is supposed to be spared from destruction. The US attack plan reportedly calls for the Iranian air defense system to be degraded, for numerous Iranian warships to be sunk in the Persian Gulf, and for the most important headquarters of the Iranian armed forces to be wiped out.

The attacks will be mounted from a number of bases, including the island of Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean. Diego Garcia is currently home to B-52 bombers equipped with standoff missiles. Also participating in the air strikes will be US naval aviation from aircraft carriers in the Persian Gulf, as well as from those of the Sixth Fleet in the Mediterranean. Additional cruise missiles will be fired from submarines in the Indian Ocean and off the coast of the Arabian peninsula. The goal is allegedly to set back Iran's nuclear program by several years, writes Uglanov, whose article was reissued by RIA-Novosti in various languages, but apparently not English, several days ago. The story is the top item on numerous Italian and German blogs, but so far appears to have been ignored by US websites.

Observers comment that this dispatch represents a high-level orchestrated leak from the Kremlin, in effect a war warning, which draws on the formidable resources of the Russian intelligence services, and which deserves to be taken with the utmost seriousness by pro-peace forces around the world.

Asked by RIA-Novosti to comment on the Uglanov report, retired Colonel General Leonid Ivashov confirmed its essential features in a March 21 interview: "I have no doubt that there will be an operation, or more precisely a violent action against Iran." Ivashov, who has reportedly served at various times as an informal advisor to Russian President Vladimir Putin, is currently the vice president of the Moscow Academy for Geopolitical Sciences.

Ivashov attributed decisive importance to the decision of the Democratic leadership of the US House of Representatives to remove language from the just-passed Iraq supplemental military appropriations bill that would have demanded that Bush come to Congress before launching an attack on Iran. Ivashov pointed out that the language was eliminated under pressure from AIPAC, the lobbing group representing the Israeli extreme right, and from Israeli Foreign Minister Tsipi Livni.

"We have drawn the unmistakable conclusion that this operation will take place," said Ivashov. In his opinion, the US planning does not include a land operation: " Most probably there will be no ground attack, but rather massive air attacks with the goal of annihilating Iran's capacity for military resistance, the centers of administration, the key economic assets, and quite possibly the Iranian political leadership, or at least part of it," he continued.

Ivashov noted that it was not to be excluded that the Pentagon would use smaller tactical nuclear weapons against targets of the Iranian nuclear industry. These attacks could paralyze everyday life, create panic in the population, and generally produce an atmosphere of chaos and uncertainty all over Iran, Ivashov told RIA-Novosti. "This will unleash a struggle for power inside Iran, and then there will be a peace delegation sent in to install a pro-American government in Teheran," Ivashov continued. One of the US goals was, in his estimation, to burnish the image of the current Republican administration, which would now be able to boast that they had wiped out the Iranian nuclear program.

Among the other outcomes, General Ivashov pointed to a partition of Iran along the same lines as Iraq, and a subsequent carving up of the Near and Middle East into smaller regions. "This concept worked well for them in the Balkans and will now be applied to the greater Middle East," he commented.

"Moscow must exert Russia's influence by demanding an emergency session of the United Nations Security Council to deal with the current preparations for an illegal use of force against Iran and the destruction of the basis of the United Nations Charter," said General Ivashov. "In this context Russia could cooperate with China, France and the non-permanent members of the Security Council. We need this kind of preventive action to ward off the use of force," he concluded.

Comfort Women: Sure, They Were Forced and Raped!

The Japanese government is again trying to deny what Japan did during the WW2 to many Asian young women (mostly teenagers). They ABDUCTED them (yes, most of them were children, some of them hadn't started menstruating yet!) from Korea, China, The Philippines, Indonesia, etc, and put them into the Japanese Imperial Army's Ianjo (some call it "Rape House") and forced them serve as sex slaves. It can not be denied.

Our government says the purpose of having the "Ianjo(Rape House)" was not to cause adversity to local people in the cities and villages that we were invading by raping any of the local women there. This is what many soldiers do even today! Sure, the INTENTION may have been good, (actually, they should NOT HAVE INVADED in the first place! And rape is not permissible anywhere, anytime. This goes without question! We should MAKE LOVE, not rape and definitely not war!) but what about those young girls and their families who suffered so much?

Those women who survived this incredible cruelty are now in their 70s and 80s, and I can not imagine how they must have felt hearing our Prime Minister Shinzo Abe denying the fact and hurting those old women who are now slowly dying from old age. For them hearing such words must be like being raped again.

An Invitation to Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe

Dear Prime Minister Shinzo Abe,

We have never met, but I invite you to meet the women of LILA Pilipina. On March 2, 2007 you announced, "There is no evidence to prove there was coercion, nothing to support it (the coercion of WWII military sex slaves)." I've been working with surviving WWII Comfort Women of the Philippines since 1998. Let me take you to Lolas' House, a tiny cottage in Quezon City, Manila where women meet and gather the evidence you need to prove there was, indeed, coercion.

If 81-year old Pilar Frias is there, she will tell you that in 1942 she had two bouts with Japanese soldiers before she was taken captive. During the first intrusion, soldiers cornered her and shouted in a foreign tongue. Confused, Pilar didn't react. Frustrated, a soldier took his cigarette and held it to her face, tipped the lighted end and burned a hole into her skin. She cried out and the soldier, angry that she should be displeased drew his knife and sliced her nose. Blood poured from her face and as she cried he yanked her by the hair and shoved her head deep into a bin of water. The blood blossomed in a cloud of red. The soldiers stole the family's livestock – a cow, some chickens and pigs. They raided their supply of rice and other dried goods. During the next invasion, they raped her five times – each time it was a different soldier. 17 years old and bleeding, they tied her at the waist and dragged her along with three other girls.

She was made to follow them as they hunted down Philippine guerillas. Strung together by a sturdy hemp rope, the four girls were raped every night, five times a night, a different soldier every time.

Perhaps her words are not proof enough. Then give me your hand. Sometimes when the women tell their stories and they trust that you are listening, they will guide your hands to touch their wounds. Pilar Frias has a wide flat nose and a scar that runs the length and width of it. If you run your fingers along the line of that scar, you can actually feel where the bayonet sliced her. If you run your hands along her waist, you will see the fall and rise of scars where ropes burned her skin as she was dragged through the forests with three other young women and raped each night.

Is this not evidence of coercion?

Since 1993 the women of LILA Pilipina have come forward to the dismay of their families. They have marched the streets and filed petitions to acknowledge the crimes that were placed on their bodies, on their spirits and on the rest of their natural lives. They have traveled to Japan and appeared in your courts to tell their personal stories of sexual abuse. This is not an easy thing to do. If you understand the culture of shame that comes with such experiences, you know that their presence in this house in Quezon City, or at the gates of the Japanese Embassy in Manila, or in your country's courts is evidence enough.

The women are in their eighties, and yes, they are dying. When they are gone it will be much easier to pretend that these wartime atrocities never happened. But women like Pilar Frias have many friends and supporters. We know their stories. We have touched their wounds and seen the consequences of your militaries actions on their lives.

There are enough of us who know. Who are working to document their experiences. Who like them, are fighting to stop this act of violence from recurring to another daughter, to a niece, to a child.

This summer, I plan to visit the Lolas of LILA Pilipina to complete the work I've begun. Meet me there, Prime Minister Abe. Sit with us. Listen and then insist you have no evidence to prove there was coercion. Unless you believe that women's lives hold no value -- that the wounds that mar their bodies, that stain their minds and have affected their lives hold no value. for you

How did it happen? After previous attempts to push the Federal Reserve Act through Congress, a group of bankers funded and staffed Woodrow Wilson's campaign for President. He had committed to sign this act. In 1913, a Senator, Nelson Aldrich, maternal grandfather to the Rockefellers, pushed the Federal Reserve Act through Congress just before Christmas when much of Congress was on vacation. When elected, Wilson passed the FED. Later, Wilson remorsefully replied, referring to the FED, "I have unwittingly ruined my country".

BBC Backs Up William Rodriguez...

William Rodriguez was the last man to escape from the World Trade Center before it collapsed.

In October last year William visited Japan to testify at our 911 Truth International Conference in Tokyo. (Listen to his testimony at the Japanese 911 Truth conference here)

He claimed that there were bombs placed in the lower sections of the twin towers and that even before the first plane hit, a bomb exploded in the basement, not far from where he was working. Because of his intimate knowledge of the World Trade Center and his valiant efforts to help with the evacuation of the building he was asked to testify for the official 911 Commission. But his testimony was omitted from the final 911 Commission Report...

I have just come across a news report on the BBC that also mentions explosions in the lower sections of the buildings, significantly distant from the impact points of the jets. Steven Evans, a BBC reporter was in one of the towers when ‘the first explosion’ occurred. Later, as he was being interviewed the first tower collapses in the background.



Why is it that the government and media have failed to look into any of the reports of explosions? Why did they omit the testimony of William Rodriguez from their official report?

I can only conclude that they have something incriminating to hide. If they were not hiding something, they would openly address the explosions. Admitting that explosions took place would mean that the ‘official‘ story was not complete, and this would in turn imply that it was not just jets that caused the buildings to collapse.

Someone placed bombs in the World Trade Center buildings and it was not Osama Bin Ladin!

My Letter to Michael Moore

I wrote a letter to Michael Moore after reading/watching his interview here.



Dear Michael Moore,

I am a Japanese author/journalist who is interested in knowing what has really happened on September 11, 2001. Like you, I am curious to see what is in the Pentagon surveillance films which has not been released until today, which should show Flight 77 crashing into Pentagon on that day. No one has seen it yet and I would like to know why.

If it was really hit by Flight 77 as US government claims, it should be in the film and they should be happy to show it to all of us to end the argument about 911. Too many theories and I do not know which one to believe.

So, I really support your question to the government and I hope you can get the footage of the actual crash of Boeing 757 (Flight 77) released somehow.

Keep me posted on your learnings on what really hit the Pentagon. Photographs and film footage I have seen so far doesn't confirm it was really flight 77, rather, it looks something much smaller than that.

I wrote about your recent comment and interview on this in my English and Japanese blog.

BBC WTC7 Report - Another Viewpoint...

With the BBC report on the collapse of WTC7 before it actually fell being a big hit on YouYube this week, there have been no end to the arguments surrounding its authenticity as well as the conclusions that can be drawn from the clip...

I have come across another viewpoint, this time from Freedom Force, that that takes a good detailed look at the BBC Report. Though many skeptics have pointed out several possible errors in the conclusions drawn by 911 Truth Seekers like myself, I feel that this report puts things in excellent focus.

WTC Building 7 is the Key to the Fraud of 911

I just came across a story by Steve Watson of Infowars.net...

It appears that WTC Building 7 was built intentionally stronger than most steel frame buildings... If the New York Times story is correct (it is quoted in the Prison Planet article), then there can be little doubt that NO ONE would have been able to know beforehand that the building was going to collapse!

The fact that the BBC announced the collapse ahead of the actual event can surely be interpreted to mean that explosives had been placed in the building prior to September 11th so that it could be destroyed by a controlled demolition, when the time was deemed to be right, by the ‘directors’ orchestrating the events that day!

I have come to realize that the events of September 11th, 2001 were part of a day long Hollywood style movie drama that people of the earth were meant to see. The ‘directors’ wanted us to be so shocked by the horror and viciousness of the attacks that we would condone the wars in the middle east that would, of course, be without question ‘justifiable’ considering the lives lost and the damage done on that tragic day!

It is fortunate that there are many that saw through the lies and murderous actions that took place in New York. Thanks to their hard work and bravery we can now know the full extent of the the treacherous deeds that were carried out on that day.

We must now make sure that the names of all those who were involved in the murder of the 3,000 people on that day (and the many thousands that have perished in the subsequent wars), be be made public. Then the people of the world should decide if and how they should make up for what they have done!

What's going on with BBC? "911Tape is Lost"??

Yesterday I wrote about the time difference when the BBC reported the collapse of WTC7 at 4:57pm NY Time and when the actual event happened at 5:20pm NY time. Here is the clip if you have not yet seen this short film.

The claim the BBC replied with for this discrepancy was, "We no longer have the original tapes of our 9/11 coverage..."! Wait a minute BBC! Can't you be a bit more responsible on what you report? Below is a link to the full story from Prison Planet.

BBC Responds to Building 7 Controversy; Claim 9/11 Tapes Lost

Pathetic five paragraph blog rebuttal does not answer questions as to source of report that Salomon Building was coming down, BBC claims tapes lost due to "cock-up" not conspiracy.

The BBC has been forced to respond to footage showing their correspondent reporting the collapse of WTC 7 before it fell on 9/11, claiming tapes from the day are somehow missing, and refusing to identify the source for their bizarre act of "clairvoyance" in accurately pre-empting the fall of Building 7.

Here is the BBC's response to the questions about the footage that was unearthed yesterday, with my comments after each statement.

1. We're not part of a conspiracy. Nobody told us what to say or do on September 11th. We didn't get told in advance that buildings were going to fall down. We didn't receive press releases or scripts in advance of events happening...

"We didn't get told in advance that buildings were going to fall down." If this is true, then how on earth did the BBC report the collapse of Building 7 before it happened? Psychic clairvoyance? Of course they were told that WTC 7 was coming down, just like the firefighters, police, first responders and CNN were told it was coming down. They had to have had a source for making such a claim. The BBC is acting like the naughty little boy who got caught with his hand in the cookie jar. No one here is claiming the BBC are "part of the conspiracy," but their hideous penchant to just repeat what authorities tell them without even a cursory investigation (and with the Building they are telling us has collapsed mockingly filling the background shot of the report), is a damning indictment of their yellow journalism when it comes to 9/11...

Strangest Thing! BBC Report on WTC7 too early

I thought I knew a lot about the discrepancies between the official 911 story and what actually happened. But I didn't know this. Watch this short film clip and let me know what you think.

On 911, WTC7 (Salomon Brothers Building) collapsed at 17:20 NY time. But the BBC News reported the collapse 23 minutes earlier than actual event!!

How did they know? Who told them the information?

It is the strangest thing I have seen so far concerning 911. Here is what the report says:

On September 11th 2001, BBC World reported at 4:57pm Eastern Time that the Salomon Brothers Building (more commonly known as WTC7 or World Trade Building 7) had collapsed.

This even made the 5pm EST headlines, what is bizarre is that the building did not actually collapse until 5:20pm EST.

9/11 was unusual enough, without BBC World being able to foretell the destiny of WTC 7.

What is even stranger, is that the women reporter is telling the world that the building had collapsed when you can see it in the background over her left shoulder.

Then at 5:15pm EST, just five minutes before the building did actually collapse, her live connection from New York to London mysteriously fails.

So the question is, on 9/11 how did the BBC learn that WTC7 collapsed 23 minutes before it actually did.

Building Seven was 47 storeys, modern in design with structural steel throughout, yet symmetrically collapsed in 6.5 seconds, was someone leaking information.

No steel framed skyscraper has ever collapsed due to fire, before or after 9/11, most people who find out about WTC7, believe it was brought down by a controlled demolition, even demolition experts agree.

Please Investigate 9/11 - Time is of the essence.

Dennis Kucinich February 17, 2002 - A Prayer For America!

Check out this video of Dennis Kucinich delivering his now famous Prayer for America speech to the Southern California chapter of Americans for Democratic Action. The lady who introduces Dennis is Lyla (I am not sure how to spell her name), who was his campaign co-ordinator in Southern California. I happened to meet her the night we came back from Costa Rica at an evening event with Jeff Cohen and Scott Ritter.

Jeff talked in detail about how media is manipulated. He was a director (or producer) of the Dona Hugh show just before Iraq war when MSNBS discontinued the show even though it was a very popular program. He said, "what is the good news is the rising of alternative media including thousands of blogs!"

Scott Ritter WAS a strong patriotic Republican who voted for Bush. However he carried out his inspections for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, found none, and told the Bush administration that Iraq was not threat to the USA and thus should not attack Iraq. Scott Ritter loves America and he thinks that real Americans should stand up for the Constitution. He doesn't care for the left or right, nor democrats or republicans. What he cares about is the situation America is in right now with their true values being ripped off.

He sounds good to me except when he said, "I am a killer machine and I have no problem with killing dozens of people" (if that means defending my country... I have added this, as I think that is what he meant...)

I have never been a soldier myself nor killed people in this life time, so I can not really know what goes on in a solder's mind when he kills people. I know it will break my heart even if I have to do so to defend my loved ones. It would haunt me forever.

But when I look at what is happening today in Iraq or Afghanistan, I am killing people in a way by allowing these lies of the "War on Terrorism" to continue. By allowing this illegal and unnecessary war to continue we have been condoning the killing that is going on there!

I am responsible and I am sorry. Yes, it breaks my heart and I grieve for the loss of each precious life. A baby, a child, a girl, a boy, a woman, a man, a mother or a father, who was born to do what he/she was supposed to do and his/her life was taken before he/she fulfills their dream or mission, who all came from a mothers' womb through the pain and bliss of giving birth. I am so sorry and sad.

'A Prayer for America' by Dennis Kucinich is now my prayer for America. I really pray that the USA and Japan will walk together in peace by creating peace both within their countries and outside of them too. I chose to live in peace and I commit myself to do the best I can to create peace in and around me.

The important thing is that peace starts with me AND you.

While watching on television the recent State of the Union speech, I noticed how Rep. Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio, had a lengthy handshake with and was talking to President Bush. I was curious because Kucinich, who is making a second run as a presidential candidate, began thundering against the Iraq war before it was launched and he hasn't let up at all.

He has relentlessly dissected the administration' s policies, competence and motivations concerning Iraq for the past four years, and it's hard to imagine Bush wanting much of a heart-to-heart with Kucinich.

I was curious enough to call the six-term congressman from the Cleveland area and ask him about the conversation.

"I told him about my 12-point plan to bring the troops home and stabilize Iraq," Kucinich explained. "I said, 'If you need help, give me a call.' "

So far at least, Bush hasn't called to ask for Kucinich's help. After all, Bush has his own plan and, by all accounts, exiting Iraq isn't in his vocabulary. (See below for Bush's response.)

Ask Kucinich about the Iraq war and you will get an earful. But then to his credit, unlike most politicians he says plenty worth listening to even if you disagree with him or are threatened by his passion. He doesn't indulge in nuanced campaign speak. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama and John Edwards may have early front-runner name cache, but it's unlikely they have a comprehensive Iraq plan they wrote themselves.

"He's an anti-war loon," said a veteran Democratic congressional staffer I've known for years about Kucinich and his reputation. "But you know, he was right and most of us got played for suckers."

Kucinich, the former boy mayor of Cleveland and as much as political idealist as one encounters these days, told me, "New Hampshire is going to be the place for truth telling."

He imagines the primary will be a "moment of accounting" about the Iraq war for New Hampshire primary candidates of both parties.

I'm less idealistic than Kucinich about how much "truth telling" and "accounting" will happen during our first-in-the- galaxy carnival, but he does have a point. The ongoing debacle in Iraq and how to salvage anything remotely resembling success will be on the top of the charts.

"Even if things get better in the next six months, Iraq will be at the top of the list," said Dean Spiliotes, research director at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics at Saint Anselm College in Manchester.

The problem for a consistent anti-war candidates like Kucinich, Spiliotes told me, is that the ground has shifted dramatically since the 2004 primary when Democrats were tongue-tied about the war (Americans are still deciphering Sen. John Kerry's explanation in 2004 for voting against and for the war at the same time).

"Now, everybody (the Democratic candidates) is on the same page and there isn't much to differentiate them."

What's going to happen as the primary season drags on is a desire among voters to hear what's next.

"You can only do so much bashing of the president," Spiliotes said about the easy pinata Bush has become for both parties. "There's going to be a premium on someone coming up with a plan on what to do next." Spiliotes said there will be more nuance on the Republican side as almost all of the candidates continue to support Bush to varying degrees. Rep. Dayton Hunter, R-Calif., said in Newington recently that the Bush method is working -- though we haven't been able to confirm if Hunter had taken any sips lately from Vice President Dick Cheney's delusional Kool-Aid supply.

Beyond being a wild free-for-all on both sides -- it will be the first election since 1928 with neither a sitting president nor vice president running -- this primary will be the first since 1968 with war as the dominant issue on voters' minds.

While many remember Sen. Eugene McCarthy's insurgent anti-Vietnam war campaign in 1968 against sitting President Lyndon Johnson -- McCarthy unleashed scores of clean-cut volunteers who went door-to-door and talked about their "Clean for Gene" passion to stop the war -- the larger lesson has been forgotten. Johnson won as a write-in candidate, but was hurt by McCarthy's strong showing -- a showing that included many voters who were mad at Johnson for not pursuing the war more vigorously.

By the time of the 1968 primary, Congress was already wising up to the duplicity of the Johnson administration, but it was essentially helpless to do much but debate and hold more hearings.

Not unlike today. In recent weeks, the U. S. Senate continued its better-late- than-never debate about which anti- or pro-troop escalation non-binding resolution to consider. Not that it matters much. Whichever resolution is passed will essentially be a gentle public rebuke, telling President Bush that he's on the wrong path in Iraq. As though that hasn't been obvious for, say, a good three years.

The dilemma for passionate and articulate anti-war candidates has been one of being admired but not supported at the ballot box (See Sen. George McGovern, who suffered the greatest defeat in American history, carrying only one state, Massachusetts, against Richard Nixon in 1972.)

I remember watching Kucinich speak in 2003, and he warned then of disaster in Iraq with an almost perfect diagnosis of what was to come. He said then he was running for president because of the systematic political breakdown that led to the unfolding disaster. He was particularly incensed about the lack of courage and forethought displayed by his own party to confront Bush's headlong rush into war. He also damned the administration' s failure to deal with the aftermath (which included a virtual ban on the term insurgent, as though not saying the word would make the problem go away.)

For Kucinich, understanding how we got to this point is as important as what to do next because it explains so much.

For example, he told me recently as the war drums began beating in 2002, like a good student, he began doing his homework. "I saw a lot information from a number of sources that was available for anyone to see."

He wasn't alone, of course, in coming to the conclusion that the Bush gang was out of its collective mind in pushing for a war of choice when the intelligence didn't support it. But he did manage, he told me, to rally some support among Democrats in the House to vote against war authorization.

"It was a fabric of lies that pulled the American people into supporting the war," Kucinich said about the political parallel universe in 2002, of playing Cassandra while his own party wanted the war issue to go away politically. "This was the most important vote we were going to make in our lifetimes, and we didn't even debate it in our caucus," Kucinich said.

It didn't help, he explained, that "most of the media swallowed the war whole." Unlike every other candidate whose votes are on record, he says he's the only one who has voted against every one of Bush's funding authorizations for the war.

Not that being right and way ahead of the curve has helped Kucinich much. If anything, he has proved the political axiom that no good deed goes unpunished. With so many Democrats having their come-to-Jesus moment about Iraq, he's as uncomfortable a reminder of their timidity today as he was yesterday.

"It wasn't just a mistake. Any member could have done the research," Kucinich said. "A critical moment was at hand and most failed the test. They didn't do the right thing." Kucinich said Democrats, after mostly ducking the war issue in the 2002 and 2004 elections ("they wanted to act as if the war didn't exist"), were returned to congressional power because of the war in 2006. But he's concerned the party will slip into "default, as though we have no other work to do. We're still taking a position of not challenging the president."

It's a position he finds remarkable after more than 3,000 American military deaths, hundreds of thousands of Iraqi deaths, and some $400 billion spent. Kucinich will never pass as a stoic.

In New Hampshire, Kucinich faces an uphill battle against the establishment titans and media favorites. He finished sixth in the 2004 primary with around 1.5 percent, or around 3,100 votes, but he believes he will make a much stronger run this time around.

For one thing, he's got an Iraq exit strategy paper and a plan for extensive grassroots organizing. He also plans to challenge his fellow candidates to talk about their Iraq war choices to make "real distinctions, " which will be easier said than done.

Moreover, Kucinich, who spent the weekend campaigning in the state, believes in the primary potential of a level playing field -- or at least a magical kingdom of voters who can separate the wheat of authenticity and leadership from the chaff of political celebrity. "'American Idol' has a higher standard," Kucinich said about the consultant-driven mode of modern campaigning.

The problem for Kucinich is that he won't be the only candidate preaching to the anti-war choir. Spiliotes, at the NH Institute of Politics, also believes most voters won't be interested in retribution for past votes or perhaps draw too many leadership lessons from the 2002-2004 prelude to disaster.

One of Kucinich's Iraq war exit strategy points is to have a truth and reconciliation process to set a base line of truth for Americans and Iraqis to understand the war's roots. Needless to say, it's a controversial proposal, especially in a country adverse to much introspection.

Oh yes, what did Bush say to Kucinich at the State of the Union?

According to Kucinich, it was straight from the heart. "'Dennis, I know you love America. We both love America.' "

William Rodriguez Tours the UK!

I have just found out that William Rodriguez is now in the middle of a one month lecture tour in the UK to expose the ongoing and deliberate cover-up as to what really happened on September 11th, 2001.

I am in Washington DC, the capital of US as I write this, waiting for a taxi to the airport to catch a flight to Costa Rica via Miami at 6am. I guess I will stay up all night and wait for the taxi now that it is already 1am.

It's been an amazing experience to participate one of the most exciting and wonderful thing happening in the USA for peace. Imagine Department of Peace is in the USA and in Japan and in every country. Imagine that we do not need to use violence to solve our problems and conflicts.

Enough blood and tears has been shed throughout the world and it is time for us to use totally different approach to solve problems and conflicts.

Interviewing Dennis Kucinich on February 6th

I had the great honor to meet with the Congressman Kucinich and was able to interview him at his office today. He told me Japan has to hold on to Article 9 of our Peace Constitution as it is Japan‘s gift to the world.

LA, Town of films, film makers and actors

It's been exciting to be in LA. Frank Dorrel introduced me to two beautiful women yesterday, one film maker/director and another actor/writer who are making a film called "A Single Woman", a film about Jeanette Rankin.

Have you heard of Jeanette Rankin? I had never until I saw the preview of the film. She was the first congress woman ever elected in the USA. She also voted against the 1st and 2nd World Wars. She was a true pacifist and that is why she was not very popular among "the power to be" or the media sponsored by Military Industrial Complex back then and even today.

She was very clear and true on what she says, which made her life very difficult and lonely. So even in the peace community of the USA today, very few people know her. She never got married and had no children. She died at the age of 93 in 1973.

It was Jeanmarie Simpson who found her and wrote her life into a play in which she stars. She is such an amazing writer and actor.

When I saw the making of "Single Woman" in Japan, I thought Jeanmarie was an old lady, but she is a young women with amazing make-up that made her look like a 90 some year old, which Jeanette Rankin was then.

The play "A Single Woman" had a long run, with more than 250 performances, which then attracted Kamala Lopez Dawson who later became the producer and director of the film. They are now making the film together.

Kamala, who you may have seen on TV or in some films as an actress, is a film maker herself. She gave me her latest short film called "Ese Beso (That Kiss)", which I have not seen yet.

She showed me some of the cuts of "A Single Woman" that she had finished editing. They were of the interview Rankin did on TV show with a right winger reporter when she was 92, the year before she died.

The reporter asked tough and nasty questions, but Rankin was tougher, nastier and more truthful in talking back, which made me cry. She was so right when she said, "We could have prevented it". "It" means World War 2 then, but of course we could have prevented all wars till now if no one would agree or cooperate with those involved with the military and the business of war!

Jeanmarie is so good at playing the 90 year old Rankin. It is hard to believe she could play such an old lady when she is just a few years older than me. Without makeup, she actualy looks younger than me. Towards the end of the movie, a new born baby can be seen in a basket. It is Jeanmarie's first grandchild! I could not believe it! She must have had her child when she was very young.

Kamala is now interested in making a film of of the book ‘Addicted To War‘, the book that Frank Dorrel first published. This would be great if it happens. A lot of new ideas and projects are emerging in LA!

"A Single Woman" will be completed this summer and I look forward to seeing it and maybe translating and producing a Japanese version.

It is exciting to be here in LA meeting such creative talents who are making an effort for a better and more peaceful world.
